Job Description

This fast-growing manufacturing business, located in central Warwickshire, produces high quality, UK grown food and animal feed is looking for a Process Operator to join their team. The facility is powered by renewable energy and their production methods result in zero waste. In return, you will receive a salary up to £38,025 depending on shifts worked (includes shift allowances).

This role is to ensure shift production targets are achieved in a safe and efficient manner and in compliance with company and regulatory standards (Quality, Environmental, Health and Safety) and industry accreditations (BRC and FEMAS).

Full training will be provided to ensure the successful Operator is fully competent and confident in their duties.

The production plant operates 24/7 and there are 2 shift types available.  One of the roles will require working a 4-On/4-Off shift pattern. The other role will work predominately days and will work nights as cover when required.  

As a Process Operator your duties will include:
  • Ensuring the safe operation of plant processes within a range of set parameters to guarantee production targets are achieved in volume, quality, and efficiency.
  • Undertaking general housekeeping and cleaning of the areas.
  • Ensuring all routine sampling and testing of the production processes are carried out and recorded as required.
  • Recording and reporting data as requested using spread sheets.
  • Ensuring all assigned routine safety and preventative maintenance checks are undertaken as scheduled.
  • Assisting Maintenance Technicians in the event of plant failure.
  • Ensuring that production related waste is moved to designated disposal locations in a timely fashion.
To be a successful Process Operator you will have the following skills and experiences:
  • Previous experience in a Processing and/or Manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge and understanding of typical SCADA, operator interface control systems, and PLC-based operations would be useful, but not essential.
  • A hard-working aptitude, with an ambition to want to succeed and progress.
  • Health and safety training, IOSH, BSI, NEBOSH would be desirable.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Good English language skills and excellent understanding as a minimum.
Please Note – This is a production site environment involving stairs, rung ladders and some high-level work areas.

This role is in a rural location, without access to public transport. It will require working in an agricultural environment, with exposure to wheat, grain dust and other allergens.
